Climate Ready Regions: Tools & Solutions for the Future at EU Week of Regions and Cities 2026
Under this year’s theme, “Strong regions, strong Europe,” the European Week of Regions and Cities will bring together representatives and stakeholders from cities and regions across Europe. Taking place in Brussels in October, the event will highlight how regions and cities contribute to economic growth and employment, support the implementation of EU Cohesion Policy, and strengthen effective European governance through action at the local and regional level.
The European Week of Regions and Cities is organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy and the European Committee of the Regions.

AdaptationHubs at EURegionsWeek
The REGILIENCE+ Team will take part in the session “Climate Ready Regions: Tools and Solutions for the Future.”
As Europe’s regions face increasing climate risks, strengthening their capacity to adapt requires better access to knowledge, practical tools, and coordination across governance levels. The session brings together two Mission Adaptation flagships — REGILIENCE+ and AdaptationHubs, as well as the Mission Implementation Platform for the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change (MIP4Adapt) to explore how regional experience and expertise can support a more climate-resilient Europe.
The session will focus on connecting local and regional action with national policy and on showcasing practical solutions that can help regions strengthen their resilience. Participants will have the opportunity to discover tools and approaches for advancing multilevel climate adaptation, exchange experiences, and learn from solutions that have already been tested in different contexts.
Exhibit representatives will also gather insights and innovative adaptation solutions from experts and practitioners. Promising, pre-selected approaches will subsequently be shared with interested cities and regions, supporting peer learning, collaboration, and the development of solutions tailored to regional climate challenges.
